Early voting in Knox County is being called heavier than normal. In the first two-plus days of voting, over 500 people have cast ballots in the lobby of the former Knox County Jail at 135 North 8th Street.
In addition, Knox County Clerk David Shelton reports sending out around 500 mail-in ballots at this time. Mail ballots are available now through the Knox County Clerk’s office; they must be received by Election Day, November fifth, to count for this year’s general election.
