Citizenship Questions in Play Over Nearly 600-Thousand Indiana Residents

Concerns are being raised over a request made by the state Attorney General and Secretary of State.      
Todd Rokita and Diego Morales are asking for information on the immigration status of some 585-thousand Hoosiers who are registered to vote.      
It’s not exactly clear why they are asking federal immigration experts for the info, but some think this may be a ploy to remove some Hoosiers from the voter rolls, even though at this point it’s against the law to do that.      
Morales says in a statement that’s not their intention.
