The Knox County Council is looking forward now to their major subjects for the coming year. The biggest of those is the bulding of a new Emergency Operations Center on the old Poor Farm grounds east of Vincennes.
Knox County Council president Rich Chattin says the next year will be filled with work on taking down the current building, and starting to raise the new one. Chattin also knows department heads targeted to fill the new space are looking at ideas to create their spaces.
The E-O-C is the first part of a three-phase process. The plan includes building a new Justice Center across from the Knox County Courthouse, and spending 150-thousand dollars in Courthouse renovations.
