Washington Avenue Re-Opening Expected in Coming Weeks

After a whole construction season of closure, Washington Avenue from Kelso Creek to Emison Avenue could re-open within weeks. Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague and the contractor have a tentative date in mind to open the closed section. However, he is holding back from giving a specific date at this time.

Even as Phase One is finishing up, the behind-the-scenes work is starting on Washington Avenue Phase Two. That phase will cover Washington Avenue from Emison Avenue up to, in including, the Saint Clair intersection. However, physical work on that section is a couple of years away;
