Even months after school has started, police are finding some drivers still violating school bus stop arms. Knox County Sheriff’s Department Major Rich Wehrman understands many of the violations come down to a failure to clearly understand the stop-arm law.
One school corporation taking a proactive approach to detecting stop arm offenders is the North Knox School Corporatoin. Their buses have cameras on them to capture the license plate of violators of the stop-arm statute.
