Vincennes City Council Approves City Salary Ordiance, Bond Issue

The Vincennes City Council has approved the City’s salary ordinance last night on its final reading. The ordinance gives significant pay increases for both City policemen and firemen, to keep them competitive with surrounding communities.
Council also approved the final passage of a renewed three-year bond for City vehicle replacement. The issue allows for timely replacement of needed vehicles for all City departments.
Council members approved both ordinances unanimously.
