The Knox County Salvation Army is still taking signups for its various holiday assistance programs. The signups will continue on Mondays through Wednesdays until Thanksgiving Eve, November 2 7th.
This year, those signing up must have proper identification, and proof of income. Knox County Salvation Army commander Joey Gates says even though they need to information, their help is not income based. Gates reminds everyone the information they require is for their internal usage to help those in need.
The Knox County Salvation Army headquarters are located at the corner of Second and Minneapolis Streets in Vincennes.
