The Knox Sports Corporation has purchased land for placement of a new mult-sports complex on Main Street in Vincennes. The open field lies just west of Clark Middle School.
Sally Bodensteiner is helping head up the project. She wants a just-over two-year timeline to go from fund-raising to actual operation. Bodensteiner knows the multi-sport, multiple-use sports complex will not come cheap– she estimates the cost around 35 million dollars.
To raise the necessary funding, the K-S-C Board is seeking large corporate grants, along with private donations, throughout next year to reach their goal. Anyone seeking information on private donations should contact the Knox Sports Corporation through their Facebook page.
