The Vincennes Board of Works has approved an addition to the City’s health insurance policy for medical airlifting service. Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum requested and received the service on a one-year trial basis. The reason for the insurance policy is due to what Mayor Yochum calls high health insurance deductibles.
Mayor Yochum requested it, to give City workers no our of pocket expense for necessary airlift transport in case of emergencies. The annual policy will cost the City around ten-thousand dollars; it will be taken from the Mayor’s budget.
