A five-county survey on essential services– including both Knox and Pike Counties in this area– will be released later this week. That is the word from K-C-I-E-D-C director Chris Pfaff. The five counties are part of the Indiana First region; that region is tied into the state of Indiana’s READI program.
Pfaff told the Knox County Commissioners the detailed study reviewed each county on access to essential services. Those services include health care and groceries, along with quality of life subjects like music and sports access. Pfaff told the Commissioners the survey will help Knox County, and other regional counties, highlight opportunities that can be filled by developers and other entrepreneurs.
Pfaff says after a media summary is complete, the survey will be ready for public viewing.
