The Knox County group Life After Meth is seeking community s upport to continue making a difference for men and women recovering from drug addictions. The program started in the Knox County Jail in 2005; in 20 years, it has expected from the jail into five homes in Knox County.
Marcia Bishop has been running the LAM program the last eight years. She says community donations are a big need to keep them helping those they can help. Bishop knows a big challenge in the program is keeping positive progress for participants who suffer a traumatic event—like losing a loved one.
