Knox County Indiana Economic Development Commission director Chris Pfaff is pointing to a possible German connection to County development. Only one German-based company—Schott– has a presence in Knox County at this time.
However, Pfaff told the Knox County Commissioners steps are in place to attempt toi attract German investment to the County. Among the steps is a high German official who recently visited the Schott plant in Vincennes. Also, Pfaff himself was part of a Midwestern group who traveled to Berlin in January to talk to German officials face to face. That session in Berlin focused on possible food and ag-related business issues.
County officiuals hope the German contacts will eventually lead to future business development in Knox County.
