The Knox County Council has expanded their budget for snow and ice removal material, due to a snowier than expected winter in this area. Knox County Council president Mike Morris says as expected, the Knox County Highway Department came to them requesting more funds for road-clearing material. Morris also feels that Superintendent Matt Holden, and the Highway Department, has done a good job holding the budget line as well as they can,
With warmer weather here, County crews hope the use of snow and ice clearing material has come to an end for this season.
