Incoming United Way of Knox County director Scott Charleston is settling into his new position at this time. Charleston’s first day as the group’s director was on April seventh. He will take over for Mark Hill; Hill plans to ease the transition, until his planned departure next month.
Charleston knows he has a good path to follow in his new role as director. Charleston states his goal is to stay the course the United Way has paved over the last decade.
Hill announced his intent to retire at the end of last year. Charleston was selected in March to be the new director; he came to the spot after being an assistant manager at the Vincennes Lowe’s Home Improvement Center.
