The City of Vincennes will begin its contracted work on Main Street in the coming weeks. Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague expects asphalt work to begin later in May. Sprague also says after Main Street is done, more downtown work will follow that this summer.
Traffic downtown is reminded to take extra time to get to their locations. However, all downtown shops will still be open during the work, and would invite any and all patrons to stop in.
