Vincennes City workers and associates are back out placing plants in the various planting boxes downtown on Sunday. The annual ritual is part of the City’s beautification process for the spring and summer months.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum points to a good circle of volunteers help get the plants in order. However, he says there is always room for one more. One thing that will help the new plants this year is a new set of potting soil. Yochum believes it is way past time to change up the dirt in the planters.
The plants are not just featured on Main Street. They will also run down some side streets and other places across downtown Vincennes.
