This week marks a cleaner Vincennes than before, due to the work of Saturday’s Burkhart Insurance City-Wide Clean Up. Volunteers from across the city and county came out to both clean up the City, and raise some funds for their non-profit groups.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum knows the first Saturday in May is a great time to clean up the City for various activities coming later in the month. Among the activities in May include the official opening of the Vincennes Farmers’ Market, and the Vincennes Rendezvous over Memorial Day weekend. Mayor Yochum reminds everyone even though the City is cleaner now, that doesn’t mean you can’t do your part individually.
Everyone is also reminded to keep the City beautiful by properly disposing of litter and other trash through the year.
