The Vincennes City Council has approved a move to rezone a lot at 15th and Hart back to residential zoning. The move comes as someone wants to build a single residential home on land that used to be occupied by an insurance office.
City Councilman John Stangle says the ordinance didn’t take any heavy lifting to approve. The construction will be another step toward improving Vincennes’ housing stock. Stangle is all for the increased residential—but feels affordability is also a major factor.
The approval clears the way for construction on that lot near 15th and Hart.
