A new team is coming into the Southwest Confernece, as Cloverdale will join the football-based conference from the 2026 season. The Clovers join North Knox, North Daviess, North Central, and Eastern Greene in conference.
The Rivet baseball team was defeated 7-2 by Northeast Dubois yesterday at St. A Vincent Field. The Patriots were limited to four hits, with Brody Shots scoring two of the four. Nash Ransom took the loss for Rivet.
The Lincoln High School softball team rebounded to 11-11 with a with a 14-7 victory at Mount Vernon. Kahre McCrary had four hits, with Grace Archer adding three; both also had home runs in the game. Olivia Lange took the victory on the mound for LHS.
The South Knox Lady Spartans defeat Northeast Dubois 5-1. Kenna Rehwald pitched a complete game in the win. Rehwald also had a two-run double, while Cala Charleston also added a couple of hits and an RIB double.
South Knox win its sixth straight Blue Chip Conference title last night, with a 5-0 won over Rivet. Singles winners were Ali Hayden, Grace Arnold, andf Reagan Harrington; Doubles winners were Caroline Beard and Grace Carie, and Elaina Watjen and Emily Dreiman. All the wins for South Knox were in straight sets.
The Lincoln High School boys finished 10th in the SIAC meet last night. The best finish was a fifth place from Aiden Fleetwood.
In Junior High track, North Knox took the girls meet with 90 points. Clark Middle School was second with 66, South Knox had 64, and Rivet scored five. Among the winners were North Knox’s Kendal McGuire in three events; Zoey Chambers in two events; and one event for Claire Dinkins. The Lady Warrior 400, 1600, and 3200 relays were also winners. South Knox won the boys meet with 160 points, Clark was second with 68, and North Knox scored 10. Firsts and County Champs for the Alices included Braylen Sanders 1600 meters (5:03) and 800 Meters, and Roman Lowe 300 Meter Hurdles.
The Rivet Middle School tennis team defeated Washington Catholic 3-2. The Rivet winners were Addi Berman at number one singles, Mya Brown at number 3 singles, and Eloise Vieck and Alexa Benson at number two doubles.
