The Vincennes Group Old Town Players is preparing to use around 125-thousand dollars worth of donated funds to upgrade its downtown theater. O-T-P is headquartered in the old First Baptist Church building at Fifth and Broadway.
Steve Gray is with Old Town Players. He lets us know the group didn’t just meet the 50-thousand dollar match goal, they shattered . Gray says the funding will go to a large list of needed repairs they could not do before, but now can get done.
Various donations—some of up to ten-thousand dollars—helped O=T-P reach and far exceed its goal. Repair work to the facility should start soon.
