Changes for SNAP Recipients Coming January First

Starting January first of next year, it won’t be a snap to by candy or soda with SNAP benefits. In fact, it will be prohibited.
The SNAP ban comes from Governor Mike Braun’s executive order signed in April, as part of the state’s Make Indiana Healthy Again initiative. The aim is the encourage healthier food choices, and avoid diet-related health issues.
