All seven South Knox tennis team members have been named Blue Chip All-Conference for this year.
Grace Arnold, Caroline Beard, Grace Carie, Reagan Harrington, Alli Hayden, Emily Dreiman, and Elaina Watjen were all named to the team. It is the first time in South Knox school history that has been accomplished. The Lady Spartan tennis team shut out all other conference teams in their matches this year.
Other team members included Liv Emmons, Brylee Furman and Annette Kelso from Barr-Reeve; Holly Wyland from Northeast Dubois, Ayva Powers from Wood Memorial, and Loogootee’s Macy Knepp and Addy Lengacher.
Times and locations have been set for area baseball regionals for this Saturday.
In Class A, Rivet will face Shakamak at Huntingburg’s League Stadium at 3 pm Saturday. You can hear that game on 105.7 WUZR Saturday afternoon. The 11 am game at League Stadium is in 4a, as Franklin faces Terre Haute North.
At Bosse Field in Evansville, in Clas 2-A, the Barr-Reeve Vikings play the Mater Dei Wildcats. That game is an 11 am Eastern time start. At 1 pm Eastern, it will be a 4-A matchup at Bosse Field, with Evansville North facing Seymour.
In Class A at Floyd Central, Northesat Dubois plays West Washington at 3 pm.
IN Class 3-A at Jasper, the homestanding Wildcats face the Bears of Evansville Central.
