Vincennes Community Schools has added another five years to the contract of its foodservice provider Sodexho. The Board is required to award the contract every five years; so far, Sodexho has provided Corporation Schools will breakfasts and lunches for 15 years. Sodexho and Chesterfield, Missouri’s O-P-A-A submitted requests for proposals to the Vincennes School Board.
Even though the contract calls for a break-even financial relationship, Soxexho is forecasting the Corporation a 60-thosuand dollar annual profit, At yesterday’s session, V-C-S-C Superintendent Greg Parsley told the Board O-P-A-A guaranteed a 100-thosuand dollar profit for year one—but made no guarantees for the four years afterward. Board members approved the contract renewal unanimously.
