Even less than halfway through 2025, talks are already surfacing about budgets for 2026. The process starts in earnest later this summer, and really ramps up in the fall.
The big question on many minds is dealing with various tax cuts, and loss of revenue, from this year’s approved fiscal Legislative action. Vincennes City Council president Brian Grove gives one good thing—they have some time to prepare. Grove knows like it or not, he and other government officials have to get used to the changing fiscal landscape.
Among the areas to be discussed for possible adjustment is the City’s trash collection. That has been a back-burner issue for years, but now the revenue changes are expected to bring it to the top of Council members’ minds.
