The Knox County Commissioners have agreed to a contract with United Consulting to be the County’s contracted engineering firm. The agreement was put in place following the departure of former Knox County Highway Superintendent and Engineer Matt Holden.
The agreement will be on a zero-fee basis. That means the County will only pay United Consulting when they do engineering work for the County. The pact will stay in place at least until a new County Engineer is hired. At this point, the Commissioners are looking or a new Highway Superintendent to take Holden’s former position.
