The Knox County Fair officially opens today at the Fairgrounds on the south edge of Bicknell. This year’s Fair features various 4-H competitions throughout the week, ending with the annual livestock auction on Friday evening. The fairgrounds themselves will have public activities running through Saturday.
Stacy Kahre is with the Knox County Fair. She lets us know one of the the hardest parts of preparing for the fair is preparing the grounds themselves. Kahre also knows various non-profit and for-profit vendors alike will be on hand to help you keep your cool.
For many non-profit groups, this week is one of their major fund-raising efforts for the year. Admission is five dollars per day tonight through Friday, with free admission to Grandstand events. Tonight, the annual truck and tractor pull will be featured in the grandstand.
Saturday, admission to the grounds is free, with a ten dollar admission to that night’s Demolition Derby.
