Red Skelton Comedy Convention Starts Today at Red Skelton Museum

The annual Red Skelton Comedy Convention starts today, with activities around the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy. As in previous years, Red Skelton’s widow, Lothian Skelton, is in Vincennes as part of the festivities.
Anne Pratt is the director of the Red Skelton Museum. She says this year’s convention theme centers around the former CBS rural comedy “Green Acres”. Pratt says after the talks end, the entertainment begins Saturday evening.

Tomorrow’s activities start with the Red Skelton Parade. That will happen across downtown Vincennes, with activities after that moving to the Red Skelton complex .at Vincennes University.
