Illinois Man Facing Drug/Alcohol Charges Following Traffic Stop in Vincennes

An Indiana State Trooper arrested a Lawrenceville, Illinois man over the weekend following a traffic stop in Vincennes. 27-year-old Ashton Primus was pulled over for speeding on North 2nd Street near Jefferson Avenue.
      Police say Primus displayed signs of impairment and failed a field sobriety test. He had a blood alcohol level of .13%. A small baggie containing suspected cocaine was found inside his vehicle.
      
Primus is facing preliminary charges of Operating While Intoxicated and Possession of Cocaine.
