The Vincennes Animal Shelter, along with the national group Best Friends, will hold an adoption event later this month. Shelter director Leah Raigen says the nationally-tied event is part of a nationwide no-kill shelter endeavor.
Raigen feels that day especially is a great time to give a forever home to a shelter pet in need of a good family. Part of that day is dog and cat adoptions for 25 dollars each.
Other Shelter activities for public assistance include free pet vaccines for low-income families, and continued work on trapping, neutering, and releasing feral cats. More information about any of the Shelter’s activities is available by calling them at 812-882-8826.
