Work continues on improving and installing sidewalks along Hart Street from 15th Street to Veterans’ Memorial Drive. The work has caused some restricted area for westbound traffic on Hart Street in that area.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says the work is part of an overall municipal-state project to extend the walkway. Mayor Yochum knows the work to extend those sidewalks was a long time in the planning.
Along with a future project along Richard Bauer Drive, the plan is to loop sidewalks from the Vincennes Riverwalk to Lincoln High School.
