The annual Wreaths Across Knox County drive is underway as part of a tribute to veterans from all branches of the U-S military. The annual drive’s goal is to lay a wreath on the graves of over three-thousand servicemen buried in and around Vincennes. The annual endeavor is presented jointly by the Vincennes Kiwanis and Vincennes Rotary clubs.
Mark Hill is with Kiwanis. He gives a personal reason he enjoys working with Wreaths Across America each year. Hill also believes it gives volunteers a chance to know those they are honoring up close and personal.
Wreaths will be 15 dollars each again this year. They may be purchased at various locations—including Henderson Transfer and the Vincennes Water Utilities office. Information is also available from members of either the Vincennes Kiwanis or Vincennes Rotary clubs.
