The Indiana General Assembly will hold its regularly scheduled legislative session from December 1st through the 12th and will consider mid-cycle redistricting at that time.
Governor Mike Braun last week called for them to hold a special session this month on redistricting, but Republican leaders say they don’t want to cost taxpayers more money.
Their last special session in 2022 lasted two weeks and cost Hoosier taxpayers 240-thousand-dollars in per-diem and travel expenses.
President Trump and Vice President Vance have been active trying to convince Republican lawmakers to redraw Indiana’s congressional boundaries for the 2026 election.
