Vincennes’ Main Street will be alight again tonight with the annual Downtown Vincennes Parade of Lights. The parade is a straight-ahead affair, traveling up Main from First to Tenth Streets.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum reminds everyone of one major difference between this parade and the annual Fourth of July evening parade. Mayor Yochum also reminds everyone it isn’t just the parade that will have everyone’s attention this evening.
The downtown festivities start with the annual Christkindlmarkt at Patrick Henry Square from noon to six today. The annual Christmas tree lighting will happen at six p-m, with the parade to start around six-30. After the parade, many downtown businesses will be open late for browsing or shopping.
