Franklin Elementary School’s Team Black won the Vincennes Elementary championship over the weekend at Alice Arena. Franklin Black defeated Tecumseh-Harrison Blue 28-20 to win the title. Kelsey Litzenich led Frnaiklin with 26 points, while Ellie Dove had 18 for Tecumseh-Harrison.
It was an intra-school semifinal, as Franklin Black downed Franklin Red 24-9, while Tecumseh-Harrison Blue defeated Tecumseh-Harrison White 19 to 18.
In the boys’ tournament, Franklin Black defeated Franklin Whilte 22-17 to take the title. Ruxin Rogers had 10 to lead Franklin Black, while Cam Mattingly had 10 for Frnaklin White. Im the semifinals, Franklin Black defeated Tecumseh-Harrison Blue 34-19, with Franklin Whilte defeating Franklin Red 20-12.
The South Knox Spartans will face the Rivet Patriots in an intra-county and Blue Chip Conference matchup this evening. The game is varsily only; tip time is 6:30. You can year the tame on 97.7 and 97.3, WAOV, along with 105.7, WUZR.
