The PACE Community Action Agency appreciates various groups who helped keep their Head Start open during this fall’s government shutdown. The lack of funding affected the program’s operation after November first.
PACE C-E-O Tai Blythe says a number of public, private, and school groups helped them during the time they were affected by the shutdown. The groups assisted PACE in the effort, since their grant funding did not come in until earlier this month. The donations were seen through donors, staff members, volunteers, parents, and board members.
With community support, even without federal grant funding, PACE Head Start students continued in their classes without any unexpected breaks.
