George Rogers Clark National Park officials are now estimated an early-spring date for restoration of the stone façade on the Vincennes Memorial Bridge. The work was set to start already, but circumstances forced the delay.
For a couple of years after their removal, the stones were laying on the French Commons property off Willow Street. G-R-C Chief Ranger Joe Herron says the stones were moved to another location for the actual cleaning process.
The stones themselves are now cleaned, and ready for placement back on the Vincennes side of the Memorial Bridge.
