The Indiana Department of Transportation is moving forward with plans to start the Mid-States Corridor project. The latest movement on the project was a recent Industry Day for materials suppliers and other potential primary contractors.
The road will start near Dale in Spencer County, and connect with I-69 at the U-S 231 interchange. The 54-mile highway will start with a 24-mile segment between Interstate 64 and State Road 56 at Haysville.
Project plans are to break ground sometime in mid-2027.
