Cold Front to Bring Colder Air to Area– Temporarily

      A cold front will move through the areatoday, bringing widespread rain and a few thunderstorms.
      The Storm Prediction Center has placed the area under a low risk for severe storms, with hail expected in the strongest storms.
      Gusty winds will accompany the system, and temperatures will drop sharply afterward.
      Weather conditions should remain calmer heading into the weekend. However, a warmup is forecast for next week, with temperatures near 60 possible for Christmas Eve.
