The George Rogers Clark National Park is planning for one anniversary march later this winter, while shelving another for this month. The annual Hamilton’s March will not be held this year, due to declining interest.
However, G-R-C chief ranger Joe Herron doesn’t rule out Hamilton’s March completely. The other big wintertime event for the G-R-C is the Clark March. Herron says that one will go on as scheduled in February of next year.
The overall focus for the Park coming up next year is activities surrounding the 250th birthday of America. Various activities at the G-R-C and elsewhere will be held with the nation’s 250th year as a country in sight.
