The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public that scammers are once again calling Knox County residents demanding money.
The caller identifies themself as Chief Deputy John Fuller and says they missed a court date and must pay a fine or be arrested.
The Knox County Courthouse has also received calls regarding this scam.
The sheriff’s office reminds the public that it will never call someone, demand money, and threaten arrest.
If you receive such a call, simply hang up and block the number.
