Steven Kellett was honored by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for his remarkable 2025 in catching fish. D-N-R officials claim Kellett reeled in 17 record length fish species; that breaks the record of 15.In addition to that, Kellett’s nine year-old son, Stephen, also took in five other record catches in 2025.
His catches include a record channel catfish and record brown trout– both caught in Greene County. The largest catch he had was a 28-inch black buffalo fish from the Wabash Rive in Sullivan County. All of the catches were documented by the Indiana D-N-R.
