The Indiana Hospital Association unveiled its legislative agenda for the 2026 General Assembly, focusing on Medicaid funding, workforce safety, and insurance reform.
A primary goal is the implementation of House Bill 1385, which seeks to stabilize hospital finances by ensuring Medicaid reimbursement rates meet a “Medicare floor.” This is particularly urgent as hospitals anticipate a significant loss in federal funding over the next decade.
Among those on the I-H-A Board of Directors is new Good Samaritan C-E-O Adam Thacker. Thacker will represent the state’s Southwest District on that board.
