The George Rogers Clark National Park’s historic Clark’s March will happen again just under a month from now—on February 21st. The march remembers Clark’s drive from the Wabash River to Vincennes to capture Fort Sackville. That capture happened in February of 1779.
G-R-C chief ranger Joe Herron says this year trek will be the short, five-mile march along the Wabash. Herron also reminds everyone registrations for the annual Clark’s March will start at the beginning of next month.
The Clark’s March commemoration has taken place in Vincennes for the better part of four decades.
