A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for southwest Indiana from late Friday night through Sunday morning. The storm is expected to arrive in this area sometime Saturday afternoon, with the heaviest snow expected in the evening hours, and overnight into Sunday. At this time, the National Weather Service at Indianapolis expects a good chance of at least four inches of snow from the system. However, a firmer number may be issued tomorrow, as the winter storm grows nearer.
The National Weather Service estimates at this time the watch covers then entirety of the I-70 corridor southward through the southern third of Indiana. That includes all the Indiana counties in this station’s listening area.
