In girls’ basketball:
It was a monster night for both Kendal Hill and Ellie Burke, in an 88-33 victory over Barr-Reeve last night. Hill had 35 in the win, while Burke hit a school record nine threes in the victory.
The Vincennes Lincoln Lady Alices lost to Castle last night 64-41. Azaria Easley had 16, while Kiaya Farrar added 14.
The Rivet Patriots were defeated by the Wood Memorial Trojans last night,
The Vincennes Lincoln boys and girls’ swim teams competed in the S-I-A-C preliminaries last night.
Top boys finishers were two relay teams. Both the 200 freestyle relay and the 200 medley relay teams placed eighth. The best girls’ finish was a 7hy place finish from the 400 medley relay, and an 8th place for Adelynn Lange in diving.
The Lincoln Alices C Team defeated the Southridge Raiders by a final score of 35-24. The Alices hit eight 3-pointers and were led in scoring by Chase Dorman, who hit three 3-pointers and scored a career-high 9 points.
The Clark Middle School 8th grade girls defeated Washington lats night 31-25. Mauriana Moore led CMS with 12. Also, the Clark sixth grade girls won over Batr-Reeve 32-30, with Haillie Turner leading with 12. Barr-Reeve took the 6-B game 15-12.
Two Knox County teams collide tonight at Adams Coliseum, as the Vincennes Lincoln Alices face the South Knox Spartans. Varsity tip time is about 7:30; you can hear the game on WZDM and WUZR.
The Rivet Patriots hit the road to face the Northeast Dubois Jeeps. That varsity start is set for 7:30; that one is on WAOV.
The North Knox Warriors hit the road to Pike Central. 7L30 is the expected top off for that one; you can catch that game on 102.3, WBTO.
