Conditions aren’t ideal across the area today, but they are improving. Knox County has moved back into the Orange—or travel advisory—column at this time. That means people can get around, but must do so with caution. State and federal highways have at least one clear lane in many areas, but are still snow covered and slick in spots. City and County primary roads are drivable, but caution is recommended. Also, on most—if not all—secondary roads, at least one lane is open, but they remain snow-covered and hazardous.
(Drivers on their morning commutes are also reminded to take special care this morning, due to extremely cold conditions. A cold weather advisory is in place throughout most of the morning.)
