A new bill to modernize Indiana’s township system is moving to the House floor.
Authored by Representative Alaina Shonkwiler, the legislation aims to consolidate roughly 200 smaller townships to cut overhead and streamline services.
The bill targets areas with low populations and high administrative costs compared to the actual assistance they provide.
