Daviess County’s Our Community Foundation has awarded Washington Community Schools a $250 second-semester teaching innovator grant to support Math in the Weather: Hands-On Data and Analysis for Young Scientists.
Washington Upper Elementary Teacher, Quintin Myers, accepted the award and was named a Teaching Innovator.
This project will install a remote monitoring weather station in the classroom, providing students with real-time access to temperature, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, and indoor/outdoor humidity.
