The George Rogers Clark National Park’s historic Clark’s March will happen again on Saturday, February 21st. The march remembers Clark’s drive from the Wabash River to Vincennes to capture Fort Sackville. That capture happened in February of 1779. This year trek will be the short, five mile march along the Wabash.
G-R-C chief ranger Joe Herron says most of the march will be on paved ground. Herron feels the short march is the shortest distance between the two points.
The Clark’s March commemoration has taken place in Vincennes for the better part of four decades.
