The Indiana General Assembly has hit halftime of its short Legislative session for this year. All bills passed in the Indiana Senate will move to the Indiana House, and vice versa.
Jasper State Senator Darryl Schmitt says many of the bills were passed without much objection. Schmitt reminds everyone bills that pass one chamber, and are adjusted in the other, must be reconciled before the move for possible signature into law.
The reconciliation happens in House-Senate joint conference committees. Once the conference agrees on a bill, it must then be passed by both chambers fore heading to the Governor.
